The Physician Associates Union of Malawi (PAUM) is pleased to announce the pre-launch of the second phase of its Adolescent and Young People Mental Health Awareness Campaign in secondary schools across Malawi. This important engagement precedes the official national launch of the campaign.

PAUM President, Solomon David Chomba, represented the organization during today’s session, which was successfully conducted at Mzimba Secondary School. Students were engaged on key topics surrounding mental health, well-being, and the importance of seeking support, as part of efforts to equip young people with knowledge and practical tools to manage their mental health.

This pre-launch activity marks the beginning of a broader nationwide rollout that will reach more schools and communities in the coming weeks.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Malawi Health Care Support (MAHECAS) for their valuable funding and continued support in making this initiative possible. Stay tuned for more updates as we move towards the official launch.
